After a hiatus of several years, we were glad to have the opportunity to exhibit at the 2023 ICAST convention in Orlando, FL. We had planned to exhibit in 2020 and even paid our booth space, but unfortunately the Covid situation forced a cancellation of the show. From what we were told by associates, the years since 2020 have shown a gradual increase in exhibitors and attendees, however it still hasn’t reached its previous glory.

Since our last time exhibiting in 2017, our product line has grown dramatically along with our loyal customer base. We’re very grateful for all the people who have purchased our products online as well as in stores. We exhibited at ICAST 2023 with the hopes of reaching more dealers, and although we made some excellent contacts, the lower than expected turnout and lack of commitment on the part of buyers has caused us to focus our efforts in direct to consumer sales, social media and digital marketing.

As a small, family owned business, we’re not able to spend the enormous amounts of money on marketing that large retailers expect in order to carry our products. As was told to us in meetings with trusted and well known sales rep companies at ICAST, a brand such as our would have to be promoted with a huge monthly budget in TV advertising, print, sponsorships, etc. for stores like Bass Pro Shops to even consider carrying our apparel. So to expand upon our cult following of wonderful customers and the interactions we have with them directly, we won’t be seeking orders from retail stores in the foreseeable future. Moving ahead in 2024, we’ll be continuing our sponsorship with Ultimate Catch with host Eric Ciocher on the World Fishing Network, expanding our social media presence, and collaborating with grass roots groups and organizations such as the illustrious iBass360 as well as some other surprises.
